What can I expect?
Join the cast of ADVENTURES IN PARROTDISE and Jimmy Buffett Coral Reefer Band members and alumni on a special 7 Day CHRISTMAS IN THE CARIBBEAN Jimmy Buffett Tribute Cruise to the Western Caribbean aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines. There will be special Parrothead activities including Karaoke Songs You Know By Heart (judged by the Cast and the Coral Reefers), Jimmy Buffett Games and Trivia, Private Party at Carlos ‘n Charlies-Cozumel (with special “jam session”, Un-plugged Performances by the Cast and Coral Reefer Band Members, Q&A, Photo Ops, Costume Contest, Auction and/or Silent Auction, Pillow Gifts with Commemorative T-Shirt and laminate and other special gifts and a Finale Concert performed by Barrie Cunningham and the Lost Shaker Band with the Island Girls and featuring the Coral Reefer Band members.
Plans are in the works for a Bon Voyage party the night before our departure at a hotel near our port of departure. Location and details TBA.
Coral Reefers scheduled on the cruise are Mike Utley, Robert Greenidge, Doyle Grisham, Roger Bartlett, TC Mitchell, Amy Lee and more. Additional Coral Reefer Band members and other entertainers may be added.
Can I buy the cruise directly through Carnival?
Yes, but, you will not be allowed to participate in any special events, activities and entertainment.
All Christmas in the Caribbean events, activities and entertainment will be private. This will be strictly enforced. This is what the additional cost of the cruise gets you. You must purchase the cruise through us to participate in these special events. You will receive special credentials identifying you as a member of Christmas in the Caribbean and our staff with the assistance of Norwegian Cruise Lines will insure the exclusivity of our event.

Not at this time.
Who goes on a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Cruise?
Buffett’s fans are affectionately known as Parrotheads. They are found in every demographic and walk of life and are among the most loyal fans in the world. The tropical appeal and “state of mind” known as Margaritaville exists in all of us. It may be the lure of the tropics or some other “parrotdise”, wherever, Jimmy’s music can take you there, and so can this cruise. We also welcome and encourage families. Norwegian Cruise Lines has an excellent program for the kids (Parakeets).
Do I need a passport?
No…but it is recommended!
Here is the official passport information as of June 1, 2009.
The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) Passport Requirements became effective June 1, 2009, for land and sea borders. While the WHTI requires a valid passport for land and sea travel, a final ruling was issued allowing leniency for “closed-loop” cruises, i.e., sailings that both originate and terminate in the same U.S. port.
Recent guidance received from the Department of Homeland Security indicates the documentary requirements under WHTI for “closed loop” cruises are not limited to cruises that travel only to contiguous territories or adjacent islands. This means U.S. citizens calling on ports in Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica and Belize will also be exempt from the passport requirement.
U.S. citizens taking “closed-loop” cruises are not required to have a passport, but will need proof of citizenship such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate, a certificate of naturalization, a passport card, an enhanced driver’s license (EDL) as well as a government-issued photo ID. Children are also required to bring proof of citizenship, and if 16 and over, a photo ID is also required. Canadian and Bermudian citizens are required to have a passport for air, land and sea travel, including all Carnival cruises.
Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens taking “closed loop” cruises, we strongly recommend all guests travel with a passport (valid for at least six months beyond completion of travel). Having a passport will enable guests to fly from the U.S. to a foreign port in the event they miss their scheduled embarkation or to fly back to the U.S. if they need to disembark the ship mid-cruise due to an emergency.
What if I am traveling alone? Can you help me hook up with others like me to share a cabin with?
Yes. Soon we will be adding a “Cruise Buddy Contact Page” to help solos meet solos to share cabins with.
Does the cruise raise money for charity?
Yes. $100 per person will be donated to the sponsoring Parrot Head Club's designated charity. In addition there will be a raffle for a FREE CRUISE for two with all proceeds going to charity. Call for more information.
How often do you have Jimmy Buffett Tribute Cruises?
This is the 2nd Annual Christmas in the Caribbean Cruise with Coral Reefer Band members and alumni and the cast of Adventures in Parrotdise. There will be 2 Jimmy Buffett tribute cruises/year.

Do I have to be a member of a Parrothead Club?
No. The cruise is open to anyone who enjoys good times, good music and great people.

Will Jimmy Buffett be on the cruise?
Jimmy will be invited to join his band members and alumni, however, at this time he is not scheduled to make an appearance.

Where can I learn more about Barrie Cunningham and the cast of ADVENTURES IN PARROTDISE?
Barrie Cunningham has been performing Buffett’s music for almost as long as Buffett himself. He has also traveled many of the same roads and even played some of the same places Jimmy played on his road to fortune and fame. Barrie takes the showgoer on a musical tour. It’s like an ‘ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFETT”. Barrie sings all the “songs you know by heart” like Come Monday, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes, and the national anthem of all Parrotheads, Margaritaville. He also performs songs Jimmy recorded like Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl, and the C,S,N&Y’s nautical hit Southern Cross as well as recent hit recordings like his duet with Alan Jackson, It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere. Jimmy Buffett Coral Reefer Band members and alumni MIKE UTLEY, ROBERT GREENIDGE, DOYLE GRISHAM, AMY LEE, FINGERS TAYLOR, TC MITCHELL and ROGER BARTLETT, join Barrie and his band to make this the most credible and authentic Buffett tribute show anywhere. Other Coral Reefer Band members may appear depending on their tour schedule with Jimmy. According to the Coral Reefers, ADVENTURES IN PARROTDISE is the next best thing to being at one of Jimmy Buffett’s concerts.
This is the only Buffett tribute show to play an indefinite engagement in a main showroom at a major Las Vegas Hotel/Casino.
